My order did get here a couple days later than expected, which was a bit annoying. The tracking updates had that usual polished company-speak vibe, so I didn’t fully trust what they were saying, but in the end everything arrived in good shape.

I’ve really been enjoying the fabric and block libraries. They’re easy to browse, and I was able to find what I needed quickly without getting overwhelmed. It makes planning quilts feel a lot smoother. I also appreciate when a tool respects your time and helps you focus on the creative part instead of making things harder than they need to be. Really happy with it so far.

I’ve been using Electric Quilt for a while now, and the updates do bring in some helpful new features (which I definitely appreciate). The upgrade itself was easy to install on my end, so no complaints there. That said, parts of the program still feel a bit dated and not always super intuitive. I found myself clicking around more than I expected just to figure out where things were. It does work well once you get familiar with it, but I was hoping the updates would make the whole experience feel a little smoother overall.

I went in expecting the design tools to be decent, and they kind of confirmed what I already thought. Building layouts is easy and feels natural, which I really liked. The color options took a bit more fiddling than I wanted, but overall I’d still say the tools are good.

I was a little nervous to try Electric Quilt because I’ve had design programs crash on me before, but this one has been really solid. I can spend hours working on blocks and it doesn’t freeze up or lose my progress. Such a relief, and I’m happy with it so far.

I grabbed the software from electricquilt.com the install itself was painless on my laptop. No weird issues there. The activation worked too, although I did have that little moment of, wait, where did the code go? Ended up checking my email again, then poking around for a few minutes before I figured out where to enter it. Not a huge problem, just one of those tiny speed bumps. Once that was done, everything was fine. Overall it was smooth enough, but the activation steps could maybe be a little more obvious...

I didn’t really have any trouble using it on my Windows laptop, which was nice. It was a little less smooth on my tablet, at least for me, but overall it still worked well enough for planning out my quilts

They make it seem like everything is simple and easy to find, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. The menus feel messy, and it takes way longer than it should to get around. I kept expecting it to be smoother based on what was promised, but in reality it’s just kind of slow and frustrating.

Look, I’ve bought plenty of stuff that costs more and still ends up being disappointing, so I was relieved this was actually worth the money. It’s not perfect, and I wasn’t expecting it to be, but for the price? Yeah, it gets the job done and I can’t really complain too much...

I had a feeling this was going to be tough to pick up, my experience kind of confirmed that. The learning curve felt really steep, and I kept finding little things that made it seem harder than it needed to be. Maybe it gets better with more time, but so far it’s been a struggle...

I was lost when I first started with Electric Quilt. The tutorials helped a lot. Same with the training videos. Easy to follow. Not too fast. I could pause, try things, then go back if I needed to. Learned way more than I thought I would

I had to reach out to customer support about an issue with my order, and they did get back to me, but it took a little longer than I was hoping. Once they replied, the answer was helpful enough, so it wasn’t a bad experience or anything haha. Just not the fastest. I think quicker updates would make it a lot better.

I do like using electricquilt.com when I need quilting inspiration or just want to see what other people are working on. There are some really good ideas there. That said, a few of the pages feel kind of dated, and I found myself clicking around more than I expected just trying to figure things out. The community features seem helpful, but at first I wasn’t always sure where I was supposed to go next or how to follow along. It’s still useful when I’m stuck creatively, I just wish the site felt a little more updated and made the next steps clearer.
